The cavaliers have two expiring contracts this season, shaquille oneals and zydrunas ilkauskas. They really need to think about what they’re going to do with those players, i think shaquille will probably retire so that frees up at least $18 million, i think they should let zydrunas ilkauskas go, as much as i love this guy, i think they should let him go because this would free up at least $10 million, so imagine the cavaliers with two extra roster spots possibly, and over 20 million in cap space. I don’t know though after they draft and sign their upcoming rookies, if they’ll have enough roster space to sign any players, they should make a couple of trades this upcoming season. Maybe trade delonte west or mo williams along with probably darnell jackson and kurtz, and get a center, maybe a defensive stopper who has a decent midrange shot. There are plenty of nice, quality free agents out there still, mostly young stars, especially after this upcoming season so, if cleveland uses their 18 million or so dollars well, they should be even better, and they could possibly sign a star or a superstar. Maybe sign a star for 3 years worth 4 million a year to the mid-level exception, that would be nice for the team. But the main things they need to do, is make a trade this upcoming season, release shaq and or ilkauskas and make another trade so they can free up some roster space and then sign a couple of stars when the signing period stars, next offseason will be a great offseason, for the cleveland cavaliers and their fans.
